Mr. Harner

   A little bit about me:

I am Berkeley Harner and I am the music teacher here at McSwain Elementary. I earned my Bachelor of Music Education degree with an emphasis on percussion from Shenandoah University in 2002. I am an active clinician, adjudicator, and arranger for instrumental programs throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. I am currently a percussion instructor for the JMU Marching Royals Dukes drumline.

I currently live in Staunton, Virginia with my wife, Lillie (Choir teacher extraordinaire), 7 year old son, Stuart and 4 year old son, Evan (Future musicians), orange tabby cat, Bailey (Professional sleeper), Jack-a-Bee dog, Wilson (Who loves to jump!), and LuLu our cuddly and spoiled dog.

I love working at McSwain Elementary and I am looking forward to working with each of you to create some great music.
