The School Board will convene for its regular monthly business meeting on December 13, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Rita S. Wilson Council Chambers on the 1st Floor of City Hall, 116 W. Beverley Street, Staunton.
Updated September 30, 2021: Masks are required for all persons while inside City Hall.
As an alternative to in-person attendance, members of the public are encouraged to listen online through the division website (click here) or on the local cable channel, SCS-TV13. (Audio is available only when the meeting is hosted from the Rita S. Wilson Council Chambers at City Hall.)
Persons with hearing loss or impairment who desire to attend a School Board meeting in person may request an interpreter by contacting Brenda Lovekamp, Clerk of the Board (email@example.com) at least two (2) business days prior to the meeting.

(CDC, July 2021) Using recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), Staunton City Schools will implement the following mitigation measures. On April 21, 2021, the U.S. Department of Education issues an Interim Final Rule (IFR) on ARP Act ESSER III funds. The IFR was effective immediately and has the authority of law. The IFR requires that each LEA that receives ARP ESSER III funds must submit a plan that describes how it will use ARP Act ESSER III funds. Click Here to View the Plan for Staunton City Schools
Each school year the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is required to report to the U.S. Department of Education the “Percent of parents with a child receiving special education services who report that schools facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving services and results for children with disabilities.” Your participation in this survey will help VDOE collect additional information to identify training needs related to the special education processes. Parents who have more than one child receiving special education services should submit one survey for each child receiving services. The VDOE will use the results of this survey to improve parental involvement in the special education process and improve outcomes for all students within the Commonwealth. This survey is not intended to measure your satisfaction with the special education program process. Rather, this survey is asking you to reflect upon your experiences during the past school year.
