I am happy to have your child with me in kindergarten this year.  In order to achieve our goals for the year, I must expect the best in behavior, work habits, and manners from each child every day.  I enlist your support in this effort.  By working together, I know we will all have a rewarding year!

I am so excited for this new adventure in virtual learning! We have so many fun things planned, and I am confident that we can navigate this virtual world together. Our first day of school is Tuesday, August 25th. Your child should log on to our Zoom link at 8:35. You will receive this link in a Remind message in a morning announcement each Tuesday-Thursday. Please be sure that your child has a glue stick, scissors, pencils, and crayons at home for use in our virtual learning activities.

You can reach me with questions and concerns through Remind. I will respond as soon as possible.

I chose teaching as a profession because I believe every child is a unique individual with outstanding characteristics and talents just waiting to be revealed.  I want to be the person who can reveal these traits through positive interactions with my students. I look forward to finding fun ways to achieve this virtually. I grew up in Staunton, and I attended McSwain for grades 1-6. I love this school and all that it means to me. It was here, through my wonderful interactions with my teachers, that I developed my love for learning and my desire to become a teacher myself. I hope I can instill that same love for learning in the heart of your child as well.

The best is yet to come…virtually!
