Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am excited for the opportunity to be able to work with you and your child. It’s going to be a year full of fun, learning, kindness, and adventure in first grade; and I can’t wait to see what this school year has in store for us!
I am married to my wonderful husband, Jeff. We have two daughters, Kristin and Sommer, and a son, Dakota. They are all officially adults, but they will always be our babies! My free time is usually spent training for a half marathon, reading, and snuggling with my fur babies, Reece and Remington.
I have lived in Rockbridge County for the majority of my life, and I recently moved to the beautiful and friendly community of Raphine. I graduated from my hometown school of Parry McCluer High School, and later went on to graduate from Mary Baldwin College in 2009.
This will be the beginning of my eleventh year teaching, and my fourth year at Bessie Weller Elementary School! Before that, I taught a year of kindergarten, five years of fifth, two years of third, a year of fourth, and a year in Pre-K.
It is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. It is so important to keep communication open between us, and I would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I am looking forward to a great year together!
