• HOW TO REQUEST A TRANSCRIPT OR OTHER INFORMATION FROM YOUR CUMULATIVE RECORD

    A cumulative record is maintained on every student enrolled in Staunton City Schools. Student records are organized into three categories – Active Records, Inactive Records and Archived Records.

    Active Records

    Active records are those maintained for students currently enrolled in Staunton City Schools. These records are maintained by the school in which the student in currently enrolled.

    How to Request: Contact the current school the student attends.

    Inactive Records

    Inactive records are those maintained for students who have left Staunton City Schools (graduated, transferred, or withdrawn) within the past five years.

    How to Request: Contact the last Staunton City School that the student attended.

    Archived Records

    Archived records are those maintained for students who have left Staunton City Schools (graduated, transferred, or withdrawn) more than five years ago.

    How to Request:

    1. Complete and sign the release form (CLICK HERE FOR FORM)
    2. Drop off the form, fee and copy of photo ID to the central office located at 116 W Beverley St, Staunton Va 24401, Attn: Records Management Office. A maximum of three (3) business days will be required to fill the request. OR
    3. Mail the form, fee, and copy of photo ID to the above-noted address, Attn: Records Management Office. The record will be mailed back to the address indicated on the request form.

     

    A $3 fee is charged if the record is picked up in person; a $4 fee is charged if the record is mailed. Cash or money order accepted. NO personal checks accepted.
