  • Semester 2 Learning 

    The 2020-2021 school year will be one to remember!  We are already at the end of Quarter 1, and we appreciate the incredible amount of involvement and flexibility each of our students and families have demonstrated throughout the start of this school year.  While there are always challenges in learning something new, a positive outcome we have observed is the increased communication and partnership with our families.  Thank you for all of the support for learning!

    As we head into Quarter 2, we are working to further increase opportunities for in-person learning and social experiences for our students.  We are also using this time to plan for Semester 2, where we will provide 2 options for our families:  Virtual or Blended Learning. Semester 2 Learning

    ● Please complete a response indicating virtual or blended model by Friday, October 30.
    ● The required response form is located at this link:
    ● If you have multiple children, please complete a response for each child .
    ● This form indicates the preferred learning format for Semester 2 (beginning January 4, 2021).
    ● Your response by October 30 is important because we will use that for scheduling for Semester 2.
    ● If changes are needed in responses, please notify the school no later than Friday, November 13, 2020.
    ● Once we have received responses from all families, we plan to send additional information about the
    instruction and safety expectations at each of the levels (elementary, middle, and high). We will also
    be providing specific details about schedules and transportation prior to the end of Semester 1.

  • Pandemic EBT

    Students who are learning virtually for at least 5 consecutive days and are eligible for free or reduced price meals are eligible to receive a P-EBT benefit this fall. If you received a P-EBT benefit this past spring or summer, the new benefit will be automatically added to your card. It is not necessary to contact the school about this benefit. All eligible students will be submitted for benefits by the school division. Benefits will be issued between September 30 and October 15, 2020. If you have questions about P-EBT after this date or want more information, please visit the DSS P-EBT webpage to submit your question and receive a response.

  • Parental Involvement Survey

    The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is asking for your assistance in promoting the completion of the survey by each of your families who has a child with a disability and is provided special education services through an individualized education program (IEP), by whatever means you deem appropriate. Families who have more than one child receiving special education services should complete a survey for each of their children.

    Given that the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in school closures through the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, we understand the difficulties you will face in getting the hard copy survey into the hands of your parents. As such, we encourage you to have parents complete the survey using the online links listed above. The VDOE will also work with our parent agency partners to make the availability of the online survey known to parents across the Commonwealth.

    This year’s timeline for completion and submission of survey responses, in any modality, is set at December 18, 2020.
